After meeting at a photo course in London in 2009, Kath and Susan have travelled extensively, both together and separately through many inspiring countries and landscapes. Wanting to reconnect with Aussie soil, they both decided to return at the end of 2014.  White Coast Red Centre was formed in 2016 to document their travels around Australia.

Kath Wood

Kath has always loved to travel and explore new places, and in her late twenties left Australia to teach English in Japan, before eventually moving to England. It was in England that she also discovered a love for photography, which she found perfectly complimented the travel she was doing around the UK and Europe. It had long been Kath’s desire to travel around Australia, so when Susan told her she had the same wish, the planning started so they could to do just that. You can see more of Kath’s photography at facebook.com/kathwoodphotography.

Susan Furber

Susan’s love of photography developed from her love of travel and desire to continue to explore new countries and continents. Susan returned to live in Australia in 2014 after six years in the UK, working, travelling in Europe, USA, Africa, China and South America while further developing her photography skills. While international travel still calls, the opportunity to travel around Australia has taken her photography in a new direction and she is excited about more journeys ahead.  You can see Susan’s latest work at www.furberphotography.com and contact her at furbers@gmail.com.

Kathy White (Half Lap 2016)

Kathy is from the UK and loves travelling, scuba diving and photography. She has travelled extensively for the past few years, visiting over 30 countries and all the continents bar Antarctica, something she hopes to rectify soon! Her love for photography developed whilst living and working in Thailand as an underwater videographer and since then most of her travelling has been centered on photography, either above or below the water. After a brief visit to Perth in 2013, Kathy was planning to return and see some more of the beautiful Australian coastline so she was absolutely thrilled when Susan and Kath invited her to join them for part of their journey. You can see more of her photography here www.kathywhitephotography.com and here www.kathywhiteunderwater.com.
